This year with all that is going in the little world of the Apothecary it feels like Christmas has snuck up on us! We love getting carried away with festive cheer but it seems only good and proper to wait until December! Since today is the 1st of December we are going for it!
Last night the lights went on the front of the cafe and our driftwood Christmas tree found its way out of the store room and back up on to the wall.
Today sees the return of one of the world's best ever inventions, the humble mince pie. How many is your usual Christmas quota? 10, 50, 100.....?
The Christmas cakes are on their way (not quite there yet!) and a new delicious winter warming porridge is on the menu.
We have had the incredible Barra Bronzes free range turkey on for a few weeks now, complimented with cranberry sauce, mind blowing chipolatas from our butcher, Ewan Morrice, and roast potatoes from our newest supplier, Laura at West Coullie Croft.
It's not all about the food though, the delicious mulled apple juice and mulled wine are back too! If that is not enough to set your heart racing and make carols come bursting forth form your lungs then I don't know what is!
Have a great Christmas.
